GRAND FORKS — Randall Hanson, of Camrud, Maddock, Olson & Larson, Ltd., of Grand Forks, is the newest member of the American College of Trial Lawyers.

The American College of Trial Lawyers is an invitation-only fellowship of exceptional trial lawyers of diverse backgrounds from the United States and Canada, according to a release from the law firm. The organization investigates each nominee for admission, and seeks only those who have demonstrated “the very highest standards of trial advocacy, ethical conduct, integrity, professionalism and collegiality,” the release says.

Camrud, Maddock, Olson & Larson employees “could not be more proud,” the statement said.

“We could not think of a more deserving individual,” the statement said. “We are blessed to have him leading our firm.”

Hanson is a native of McVille, North Dakota, and a 1991 graduate of the UND School of Law, With Distinction, according to the firm’s website. He has 30 years of experience as a trial attorney, and his practice has focused on professional litigation matters for health care providers and attorneys, as well as product liability defense with medical product manufacturers and pharmaceutical companies. He has also represented medical professionals and attorneys in licensing-related matters, and counseled health care entities on risk management and other issues, the website says.

He has also served on the YMCA board for more than 20 years, including as president and chief volunteer officer for several of those years. He has been a worship leader in his church for more than 20 years, is active in a number of local and state political organizations, and formed and is president of the Red Willow Lake Association. He and his wife are both active in UND alumni activities.
