The University of North Dakota winter commencement ceremony for professional and graduate degrees was held Friday, December 20, 2024 at the Chester Fritz Auditorium on the UND campus.

Five law students completed the required coursework to earn the Juris Doctor degree including Alfred Amuzo, Derek Chamberlain, Michelle Kessler, Avi Mann, and Savannah Muth. Amuzo was the sole graduate to partake in the ceremony.

The ceremony was led by President Andrew Armacost with remarks from the State Board of Higher Education and the UND Alumni Association and Foundation. The commencement address was given by alumnus Nicole Poolman, former North Dakota State Senator.

Dean Brian Pappas presented the candidate to UND President Andrew Armacost for the official conferring of the law degree. Amuzo crossed the stage to receive the doctoral hood from Dean Pappas and Chris Nelson, Dean of the School of Graduate Studies, and a diploma cover from President Armacost.
