He will serve as the Vice President for the National Association for Bar Professionals in 2024-2025

Weiler, Executive Director of the State Bar Association of North Dakota, will serve a three-year term beginning as Vice President in 2024-2025, President Elect in 2025-2026, and President in 2026-2027. He is only the second North Dakotan to serve in these roles with NABE.

Weiler was hired as the Executive Director of the State Bar Association of North Dakota in June 2013.  Before coming to SBAND, he was North Dakota’s Labor Commissioner having been appointed by Governor John Hoeven in September 2010.  He continued in that role under Governor Jack Dalrymple until his selection as Executive Director.
Weiler was a litigator with the Maring Williams Law Office from 2002 to 2010, concentrating in plaintiff’s personal injury, and business and corporate law.  Prior to that he was a general practitioner with the Wheeler Wolf Law Firm.  Weiler clerked for the Honorable Dale V. Sandstrom of the North Dakota Supreme Court from 1998 until 1999.  Weiler is a 1998 graduate of the University of North Dakota School of Law. Weiler is a Ft. Yates, ND native who now resides in Bismarck with his four children.
