The three-day competition, a longstanding tradition, provides an opportunity for second and third-year students to gain experience in both legal writing and oral advocacy as well as working with a partner.

Each team will compete in two Preliminary rounds, followed by a quarterfinal and semifinal. The majority of judges for the preliminary rounds are UND School of Law alumni and practicing attorneys.

The culmination of the competition will be the final round to take place on Tuesday, November 15 at the Gorecki Alumni Center. The final round will be judged by Justice Daniel Crothers and Justice Lisa Fair McEvers of the North Dakota Supreme Court and Magistrate Judge Alice R. Senechal.
